TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The Booking Contract

Your booking is confirmed, and a contract exists with The Path Retreats (referred to as "we," "us," or "ours") once your deposit or full payment is accepted. By booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any specific itinerary requirements.

2. Health & Somatic Readiness

By booking this retreat, you confirm that you are physically and mentally able to participate in the experience. You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding your health and any relevant conditions. If your health status changes after booking, including injury or medical concerns, you agree to notify us as soon as possible, as it may impact your ability to safely participate in certain activities.

This retreat includes somatic and physically engaging practices such as breathwork, cold exposure, and martial arts. You understand that participation in all activities is voluntary, and you agree to listen to your body, honor your limits, and take full responsibility for your wellbeing throughout the retreat.

3. Payments & Deposits

  • A $300 non-refundable, non-creditable deposit is required to secure your spot.

  • The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to the retreat start date.

  • Payment plans may be available at checkout through our booking platform. By selecting a payment plan, you agree to complete all scheduled payments in full.

  • If any payment is missed or the remaining balance is not paid by the final due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and release your spot without refund of any payments made.

4. Cancellation by You

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@thepathretreats.co.

  • 60+ Days Prior: Refund of all monies paid less the $300 deposit.

  • 30–59 Days Prior: Cancellation fee of 50% of the total trip cost.

  • 29 Days or Fewer: No refunds or credits will be issued.

  • Mid-Trip: No refunds for arriving late, leaving early, or unused portions of the retreat.

5. Mandatory Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory. Your policy must cover personal accident, death, medical expenses, and emergency repatriation (minimum $100,000 coverage). We strongly recommend "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) insurance to protect your investment. Proof of insurance must be submitted 14 days prior to departure.

6. Somatic Waiver & Acceptance of Risk

You acknowledge that The Path Retreats involves physical activities including, but not limited to: yoga, barre, martial arts (Shotokan Karate/Muay Thai), breathwork, and cold exposure.

  • The Risk: You understand these activities carry inherent risks of injury or exhaustion.

  • The Release: You voluntarily assume these risks and release The Path Retreats, its founders (Sam Jusino and Samara Ariel), and third-party partners from all claims arising from personal injury, property loss, or death.

  • Authority: The Group Leader’s decision is final regarding safety. If your physical or mental state is deemed a risk to yourself or the group, you may be asked to cease an activity or leave the retreat without refund.

7. Global Scouting & Force Majeure

We scout the globe for the best environments, but we cannot control the world. "Force Majeure" (Acts of God, pandemics, border closures, etc.) may require us to cancel or postpone a trip.

  • If we cancel due to Force Majeure, you will receive a Credit for a future retreat (valid for 3 years) or a refund minus non-recoverable costs paid to local suppliers.

8. Alcohol & Substance Policy

Alcohol may be consumed responsibly during the retreat. However, participants may not engage in any movement or somatic sessions, including but not limited to barre, martial arts, or breathwork, while under the influence of alcohol or any substances that may impair judgment or physical ability. All participants are expected to act responsibly and respectfully at all times. Any behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, or negatively impacts the group experience may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

9. Image & Media Release

We frequently document our journeys. You grant us the right to use photos/videos taken during the retreat for promotional purposes worldwide. If you wish to opt-out, you must notify us in writing 14 days before the trip starts.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
