Front Kicks

The front kick is a versatile and highly effective self-defense technique, perfect for real-world applications. It can be executed using either the lead (front) or trail (rear) leg to deliver a quick, decisive strike. Key points for execution:

  • Hand & shoulder alignment: Keep your hands up in guard position, with your shoulders naturally rotating to support the movement.

  • Point of contact: Depending on the target, you can strike with the top of the foot, the ball of the foot, or the heel for maximum impact.

  • Weight distribution: Maintain your body weight evenly centered on both feet until the kick is initiated.

  • Upper body control: Avoid excessive leaning; keep any backward movement of the upper body minimal to maintain balance and power.
