Palm Strikes

The palm strike is an upper body strike that can be executed with either the front (leading) arm, the rear (trailing) arm, or both arms simultaneously.

The point of contact should be the heel of the palm. Keep the fingers straight and avoid striking with the upper part of the hand. Striking closer to the fingers reduces force and increases the risk of wrist injury.

1. Hand Position
Thumb and fingers should be pressed together. Do not separate the fingers. Hand / wrist should remain stable in a fully extended position during the strike.
